Picked this up a week ago Friday and haven't had a chance to get any pics. I have been lazy and it was supposed to rain today so its dirty. I have good reason though, I have been celebrating on gravel roads after avoiding them for the past 5 years! It is as stock as stock can be for a 1999. 3.0 FFV engine, which means I can run E-85 if I can find it. 96k on the clock, ATX, 4x4 shift on the fly, factory CD & cassette. No suicide doors on the extended cab, which I kind of regret, but oh well. It also has the 4.10 rear end, but no limited -slip, so one wheel peels for me. Tires are Firestone Destination LE, and are pretty much brand new. They aren't the meetiest looking, but got good reviews by Tirerack, so they'll do for now. Did a tune-up after purchasing, it goes in soon for a tranny flush, filter change, and maybe a rear end fluid change assuming its not synthetic, then it is uber-expensive. Then I'm just going to drive it, and try to not do a bit of modding (wish me luck). Also debadged the tailgate, removed the FFV sticker (leaf looking). I'm thinking of removing the 4x4 stickers from teh bedsides and getting some FX4 stickers as I think they look better. I may get a FX4 emblem if I do the decals also. Since I'll eventaully get some Rancho's it will be the same as the FX4, so I don't think that would be rice, would it? I may try to get some interior pics tomorrow, it was getting too dark and they didn't turn out very well. I may however break for some of these lights from eBay, what do you think, chrome or black? I have played with these lights for the F150 and the projectors have a nice cutoff and the rest of the light output is good. If I go black, I think some black tube steps would be a nice compliment, but a necessity since the Girlfirend can't get in very well!

Nice, I just bought a 94 Ranger a few months back. 4.0L 5 speed 4x4. Fun truck to toss around back roads!

Nice truck. I also bought a Ranger a few months ago, but it's older and cheaper than yours. I've never seen those black turn signals before... might look good.

Thanks for the comments! I was looking for older and cheaper, but when my payment was virtually the same for this @ $8000 vs a 97 @ $6000 it seemed like a no brainer. This rides so much better than the 97 since it has the IFS. That and the owner of the 97 couldn't get the 4wd to be reliable on engage or disengae, so I opted for one that could! Oh yeah, that front license plate's time will be short lived. They aren't paying me to advertise, so it will be gone shortly!

Great find man, welcoem to the ranger side!! Many CEG members have converted.
Check out rangerpowersports.com and ranger-forums.com. Both great sites, and great communities. Lifted, like mine, tend to frequent the R-F boards, and the pebble pushers hog RPS. Both both are great for info in any category.
And to deal with the pro's, go with black. Black on red would be great, and different. Thats what modding/owning is about.
later
Also, the FX4s come from the factory with Bilstiens. 5100s i believe. I know theyre yellow and blue.
