my 99 svt will not start. i went to the gas station and filled it up, got back in the car turned the key and nothing!the battery light had not been on blinking or anything. Got a tow because i didnt feel like working in the gas station parking lot. i got home charged the battery and checked with battery tester, completely removed the terminals and cleaned and greased all connections. checked the neutral safety switch, all good. it acts as the battery is not dead but low. everything works but when you turn the key nothing happens the dome light dims just a little, and the radio dies out, when you let off the key the radio comes back on in a couple of seconds. every now and then the wipers will come on for a second. i have scoured the archives but there is not many posts on will not crank. any ideas would help...thanks oh yeah i have also tried beating the starter and rocking back and forth.

It sounds like it could still be the battery. Pull it out and take it somewhere to be tested or substitute a know good battery long enough to see if it makes a difference. If it is the battery, jumping it may not help.

I agree with Jim it still sounds like the Batt. But if not check the other ends of the battery cables for loose or rusty connections. I had an old Geo tracker that had a rusty connector going into the engine compartment fuse box. everything looked ok from the top but the conections were on the bottom side and every once in a while the car would just die. it took me quite a while to find the problem.=(

Cable connections, both ends. Pay special attention to the grounds.
