My mother and stepfather are planning on purchasing a 2006 Honda Civic as their new car. He test drove one this afternoon and was hooked. My stepdad is a Honda fanatic and currently owns two, a 1997 Odyssey LX and a 1988 Civic DX hatchback.

My wife and I decided to get a nice minivan. My wife has a van, a 94 Aerostar, but it's seen better days. We're going to put it up for sale on the street and see if anyone bites. It runs, it just needs a tune up, some front fender work (wife hit a stop sign) and cleaned up. Would make a good work van.

Anyways, my stepdad has offered us the Odyssey. It's been maticulously maintained, has 48k on the odometer, all power, front and rear AC, and the 4 bucket seat option. He's going to sell it to us for $5000, which is what he was offered on trade. Average retail on a 97 with 48k miles is $9,000.

Ours would be the same color but would have dark tint all around.

That AC is gonna help cool off all that sweat you make stocking shelves at walmart.

Couldn't you ask him to repaint it blue to match your smock ?

Cute.

I drive the Jetta to work and back. It's AC died on me a couple of months ago.

And I don't wear a smock. One of the perks of working at night.

LOL, just because I live in the ghetto doesn't mean I have to go to rent-a-rim.

If it makes financial sense for you, then go for it. Seems like you would be getting a good deal.

Wow, that's lame.

The Wal-Mart jokes never get old.

Looks like a good replacement.

Oh and the Walmart comments, joking or not, are old. I'd defend Packrat even if he didnt want me to. I work in a stockroom myself, and let me tell you, I break a sweat trying to make day-side pull times (in which overnight pulls are even larger than the dayside ones) So..

No more stockroom jokes on PackRat

although that is one of the considered "lame" odysseys with the four regular doors, it sounds like a damn good deal. those are one of the most well-made vans ever made. $5k for ANY honda with 48k on the ticker (and not a salvage title) is a good deal. if you dont buy I will

ps davo, just out of pure curiosity, what kind of car are you now rolling in? my instincts tell me its a Buick but Id rather know then guess.
