Just interested in knowing what you guys plan on driving 3-4 years down the road from now when our tour's are climbing towards 100,000 miles...
I love the car, everything about it. I'd love to own an SVT but my tour still has several years of life; so I woulnd't get one right now. But will it be worth the buy a few years down the road?
What are you guys/gals looking for to replace the Contour with?

4 years from now? I'll have way more than 100K.. (I have 119K now..lol)

This platform is going on/at 10 years old. The percentage of cars UNDER 100K would be WELL under the percentage over it.

4 years from now, I am looking at 135K or so miles. I think my Contour would still have a few more years after that. Not sure what to get in 7 or so years. But, if, God forbid, something happens to the Contour in the next year or so (stolen, totalled), I would probably get a Taurus as a replacement.

I've got 92,000 miles on it now. I'm going to college so the mileage should decrease in rate but I'll be at 100,000 miles soon. In 3 to 4 years I should still have the SVT but I am really looking hard into the C5 'Vettes. I really want a C5 Z06.

In an ideal world, this was going to be my route during the next ~10 years:
1998.5 Contour SE --> E0 SVT --> Mazda 6s --> BMW 325i

However, it's not an ideal world. I want to replace my car now. Not gonna get an Ford for a daily driver, and the Mazda is still out of my current budget. A used E46 BMW is doable but maintenance/insurance is rather high for a kid about to graduate college.

I am looking at vehicles .. found an interesting one that hopefully I can jump on .. but we'll see. Mum's the word till I obtain one.

In another 3-4 years I'll still have the Contour but I will probably add another car. The plan for that is looking like Mazda 3 5-door, Volvo S40, or a BMW 1-series (if they ever bring it to the states).

a used G35C can be found pretty cheap, and that is the next car that I plan to add to the lineup. I dont ever see myself selling my SVT. I will keep it till the wheels fall off, and then it will be a lawn ornament.

I see modded late 80's CRX's, so I think my car can at least last me till 2010.

Mazdaspeed 6, if I have my way. I think they're very similar to my CSVT. Course, I haven't driven one yet.

In another 3-4 years , my CSVT will have about 50,000 on it , so hopefully I'll still be driving it ! Although , here lately I've been gettin' that itch (for a different ride) again ...

Life after contour Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Well i Have a 4 cylinder with 70,000 miles and I plan on driving it until the doors fall off. I was planing on buying a CSVT and driving that. But I hope to pick up a Mustang. Im still torn between the two.
