Hey guys, I was doing a once over of my SVT and I found a strange electrical connection. I was wondering if you guys could take at look at it and tell me what the heck it is for?

I also found a connection hanging below the engine compartment. I am worried that it may get caught on something while driving and get damaged. Could you also take a look at it and tell me what it relates to?

Thanks for your help.

First three look like a temp sensor maybe. The other one is an O2 sensor...

No clue what the first one is. sorry

The second is either your front or rear o2 sensor plug. You can see one end goes into the exaust bank. If its the rear bank it should have a little metal clip to clip to the tranny (just so its out of the way) If its the front i cant remeber were its secured to but mine is zip tied to my subframe.

Bank 1 (firewall side) lower. There is a clip, for the wire. You may also want to ductape the connector and wire portion without the insulator (water can cause a CEL code if it gets in there).

The first second and third are all the same...I have no clue!

The last one is your main cat o2 sensor which should be clipped or zip tied to the mount or tranny.

1st-3rd look like fog light plugs with a cover I've never seen.
Do you have factory fog lights or after market?

First three look like they could be the octane jumper plug - although I'm not sure. Seeing as it is covered - I would think you should leave it that way and clip to something out of the way.

The last plug is the rear, lower, O2 sensor. It should be clipped on the trans so it's out of the path of water and road debris.

NOTE: in the future make your pics half the size - they are crazy big!

Thanks guys.

I now think the first item is a temp temperature sensor. I was recently informed that the mirror my car has is an aftermarket item which not only provides a compass reading but also a temperature reading. I would suspect that the first item must be the sensor.
