Article
What can be done the title asks? Uh, well, for starters, put down the cappuccino, cell phone, lipstick, mp3 player, hair brush, toothbrush, electric shaver, McMuffin, and actually check your mirrors before you run over little Bobby or Suzie.
People need to realize that when you're in the driver's seat, you're job is to drive the car first, everthing else second. Take the responsibility of piloting a deadly weapon seriously.
Idiots piss me off. Maybe it's good if they hit their own kids that way they will no longer contaminate the gene pool. Darwinism.
EDIT: Am I the only who gets absolutely irate when reading articles like this?

I am 100 percent in agreement with this statement.

In retrospect, it was all downhill from here. RIP, CEG.

i wonder what the blindspot issue is on two seat sports cars such as a 350z or crossfire.. or convertible cars with those pathetic back windows. I honstly think those are worse than SUVs

ya, no sh*t... We had 3/4 ton Suburbans and large trucks (GMC 2500HD and 3500DRW) to drive around in... let's see who the only person was to wreck one of them...
The short annoying chick that is your typical female. She said "But I couldn't see where I was going," but didn't bother telling the passenger to spot her back (the passenger got in trouble for it, btw).

Quote:
Champion illustrated the problem using 28-inch-high cones, about the height of a typical two-year old. The cone had to be 10 feet, 10 inches from the back of a Subaru Impreza sedan before it became visible in the rear-view mirror.
The cone had to be a little over 18 feet to be seen from the driver's seat of a Dodge Grand Caravan minivan and it was invisible up to 25 feet from the back of a large Toyota Tundra pick-up.
From the driver's seat of a Chevrolet Suburban, a large SUV, the cone wasn't visible until it was 46 feet, nine inches away.
I bet if drivers were paying attention and parents were doing their job, it would be a non-issue.

Apparently nobody cares when grannies are piloting their massive SUV's all over Georgia obliviously jeopardizing lives and limbs of everyone else on the highway. When they asrate kiling their own progeny, however, everyone is suddenly concerned.
They oughtta pass a law mandating a CDL to own and operate any vehicle over 4000 pounds.
