Maybe it's just me, but has anyone else noticed how sharp the Contour/Mystic looks from the rear? Coming home from work today,I followed a red SVT and two black SE Sports (!) and couldn't help but admire how well the rear of the car is "sculpted", especially with wider tires filling up the rear wheelwells.

However, like I said, it might just be me!!!!

As my wife said this weekend, "My car has a nice ass."

My reply, "Yeah you both do." :-)

Smoooooooooooooooooooooooth.

Yeah I love the butt of my car. The way the exhaust peeks out of the two little holes for it. The fatter than normal tires sittin back there. SVT on the bumper. GA-CEG sticker representin over the 3rd brake light. I just love it. Peace.

I also like the bold compound curves of the hood and the sculpting of the front fenders.

Only thing that would improve the looks is if Ford had included 16x7 rims instead of the 16x6.5s. An extra 1/4 or 1/2 inch of tire to come up flush with the fenders would be perfect.

Guess that was done to preserve Cd of 0.31. Wide tires flush or sticking out of fenders would significantly increase drag.

Also, I wish the doors/windows didn't have the completely framed look, a la Ford Tempo. An Audi A4 or Passat-like hidden B pillar would maybe have been better.

My 0.032 cents ($0.02 USD).

I have to agree, here, after running 16x7.5, that the wider wheels make a huge difference--much more than I had anticipated.

I like the B-pillar as is. To me, it helps connect this car to the European Ford Sierra sedan which it replaced. Blacking it out, or making it flush glass, reminds me too much of late 80's US cars, and their associated rattles and wind noise.

I never mention this car and the Tempo in the same sentence...whoops, just did!

They had to stay with factory tires that would be ok in all states....in Pa you will not get your car inspected if the tires stick out past the fender well at all!! Flush would be cool though if they could do it that they didn't rub on sharp corners!

95 Teal Se 5 spd,duratech, loaded(except moonroof) no mods.
