I changed the plugs and wires...got 9mm Ford Racing Wires,
but they are too think to fit into those plastic housings that keep them straight as front 3 go from chamber to coil.
So right now they are all loose and hanging around....
should i try jamming them in? any other ideas?

I squeezed mine into the loom type thing.
However, the other recommendation is to dremel the loops open a bit to fit the 9mm wires.

That's how I did it. I also used some nylon wire ties to hold the guides together.

I have no issues with my FR 9mm wires on my pre98 plastic covers. Must be a post 98 thing.
