I've been learning a new software for 3D modeling. Autodesks' Inventor. It's similar to Solidworks. Anyway, for a project I did to try and learn all the stuff it can do I thought I'd model an aftermarket turbo setup in the SRT-4. This model is approximately proportional since I don't know any dimensions on any of it. Well, the intercooler core is 24x12x4, so at least that is good, and everything else kind of went off of that.

what do you think?

just think, this was all done on the clock at work. I had to try to squeeze in time here and there where I could.

Thats pretty cool! And I was excited when I made this on the eMachineshop software. Its a skidplate for my R/C monster truck. The CAD is just for fun, I made one for real in the garage with 16ga steel, a grinder, and a hammer.

Mine is to scale though!

That is with no previous CAD experience.

I'm working on an engine block now. It'll have the crank, rods & pistons in it. Possibly have an .AVI to show it all moving. But, it won't have the cooling or oil passages. It should have the lower block part & oil pan also. I'm planning on showing the runners in the head. I don't think I'll have valves, springs or cams, but we'll just have to see.

just gotta love on the clock side projects!

That's really cool! I haven't had time to DL a copy of it, but that seems like it'd be pretty envolved to do something that sweet
