I have a 99 Contour LX, and I have vinyl interior door panels. No cloth material whatsoever on any door. I have seen a few other LX's with the cloth on the doors, but never one like mine. Just wondering if anybody else has all vinyl door panels. BTW I like mine without the cloth.
My car lacks the esteem, respect and styling of an SVT... I have a fever and the only perscription is more SVT-ness.
Need:
SVT E0 or E1 wheels
SE Side skirts
98-00 Contour SVT, minus current owner.

The earlier models (pre-98) had cloth on the doors. My doors are all plastic.

What other options does your car have?
Like is it a stripper without power windows/locks/cruise/int wipers?
...oh and I'm pretty sure mine are vinyl...

They switched over sometime in 1998.5. My '98.5 has cloth door panels (and raised window switches, dash clock, and other '98 things - click sig for more info) ... but I know Renee's old 98.5 had vinyl doors, among others on this forum.

Mine has power locks and windows (with the one touch down window), criuse, tilt wheel, int wipers, everything it should have. No clock below the center vents, though, which sucks. Just a plate that says "Contour". But, has A/C, too, which I never even use.

Kinda off the door topic, but don't 1998.5's have the black window trim around the thrid brake light (in the rear windshield) also? This is something I have noticed just in seeing other Contours, and since mine is a 99, with no window trim around the light, I figured it was another one of the 98.5 things.

You also only have like 5 lights or something in the 3rd brake light... us 98.0 and earliar have 8.
I dunno then, seems like you have a normally packaged car... I was thinking maybe it was originally a fleet car and that was one of the ways they saved $. But I guess it was just some decontenting.

I had a 1999 SE Sport with power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise, tilt, and a/c. It also had a factory moonroof. However, the car didn't have a folding rear seat, a power driver's seat, or keyless entry. I had alloy wheels and a spoiler, but no ABS.
My car seemed like a thrown together assortment of options. I had the plastic door panels. However, I also had a lighted glovebox. I had an 8 led 3rd brake light also. Another thing I had that I shouldn't have was that purse holder thing on the glovebox handle.
It seems like Ford just slapped whatever was left over on the 1999 and 2000 cars, making it darn near impossible to know what feature content really went with which trim.

haha,that's pretty crazy.
My '98 (August '97 build date) Mystique GS Sport Zetec atx had power windows, locks & mirrors, one touch down driver's window,AC,cruise,tilt,6 spoke alloys, folding rear seat, tach, clock on the dash, manual seats, cloth door panels, and ABS. I later added leather seats, and the driver's seat was power, and switched the door panels over too, with the leather instead of the cloth.
My '95 Contour GL Duratec MTX (June '95 build date, one of the early cars) has cloth seats & door panels, fullback rear seat, power windows, locks & mirrors, one touch down window, dash clock,1 pop up cup holder on the console, little storage cubby under the radio, lighted glove box, hood and trunk, tach,AC & cruise. I miss the folding rear seat & tilt steering the most.
