I have a quick question for anyone familiar with a 1991 Taurus w/ 3.0 V6. I'm getting a new exhaust system next month, and my brother would like to buy my SVT duals if they would fit SOMEHOW to a 91 Taurus he might buy. I believe some people here have early 90's Taurus's. I know it's a long shot, but I'm really not that familiar with the "underpinnings" of an early 90's Taurus. I'm not sure how the SHO dual's fit underneath. The main obstacle would probably be fitment underneath, and I'm guessing a 3.0 would use a bigger diameter exhaust than 2 1/4, right? I would greatly appreciate any info you could give me. Thanks.

The two cars are completely different. It is highly unlikely that much of anything would fit. The non SHO 3.0 Taurus of that vintage is a very normal bread and butter engine, not even a slightly high performance engine. The stock exhaust pipes are most likely smaller than the Contour SVT.

Oh, ok, thanks Jim. I wasn't sure if the non-SHO still have the same set-up for duals that the SHO runs. I figured it was a VERY long shot, but oh well. Thanks.
