I haven't posted anything in a long time about this car and it's about to go into storage for the winter, so I thought I'd share the progress I'm making on the front bumper. It's primed and after some minor touch up it should be ready for paint after I have the frame put back in place.
Not bad for 4 year old paint after 3 winters huh?
EDIT: In case you're wondering why it needed painting and the frame is bent, I drove the car into the front of the Wal-Mart I worked at. I blame it mostly on having worked 5 shifts front to back consecutively and falling asleep, but the black ice and excessive speed didn't help either. I also filled the body moldings and plate frame that used to be there.
Yes I painted it outside, and it worked perfectly. no dust on it or anything, it had just rained earlier in the day and the wind was gone so it worked out perfectly.
The grille was shot, so we decided for fun to paint it silver, it looks pretty neat actually but I'm still going to scrap it asap
There are a few imperfections you can see here, I'll be going over it again after winter, the car is headed off to storage next week (heated building with great security in it's own enclosed/locked/alarmed bay with an old Fairlane, and Integra, and one other car, best part is it's free through Canadian Tire)
People keep asking when I post if my car is lowered. It is not, it's the angle of the pictures combined with wide tires. as you can see straight from the side, not lowered at all.
Anyways, that's how she'll look until next spring. Then I'll install the big boost JRSC I bought from a guy on FJ, which includes a 65mm TB, 70mm MAF, and the 10psi pulley/belt along with all the parts I buy over winter assuming nothing else goes too horribly wrong (Canada post lost my $3000 in money orders I paid for the thing with

)
Part will include a 4-2-1 header, 2.5flex + exhaust, MSD coil/ZX2 wires, new plugs, Lightning air raid intake, coilovers, new 205/40R17 rubber so I can lower the car 2.5", new end links, new audio wiring, cam gears, and some new cams from powerworks built for thier supercharger.
After that's all done I'll take it to get tuned and see what she puts down to the pavement. I'm expecting well north of 200hp and prbably around 200tq at the wheels when all is said and done. With a crushed exhaust and no extra mods this exact same supercharger kit dynoed 188whp and 170wtq so I'm excited as the stock engine makes about 105hp at the wheels and just a bit more torque.
