since i am cheap i found an easier way to do it than replace the whole dash if that is not an option for you. Im not saying this way is better than another i just thought id share an idea that worked great for me. i picked up (3) butterfly washers and (3) 2 inch bolts at a lowes for about $3. Where the dash is pulling up your should see 3 metal crossmembers where the defrost vent was. I drilled 3 holes in the defrost vent (mine was so bad it could no longer be held in the car) and put the bolts through the defrost vent and screwed the butterfly clips on a little. just line up the butterfly washers and push them through the slit in the crossmember and then tightened down the defrost vent and it will pull your dash down with it. i painted the tips of the bolts black and you can not notice the fix. the car has been through 2 very hot summers in ohio now and the dash hasn't moved at all. the dash looks great, just like the contour was when new.
