Did not suffer this malady before the great clean out . Now the 2.5 ATX seems to have the throttle hang issue or more appropriately throttle rise . All is normal - cold idle returns to 700-750 rpms , no hunting for rpm at start up etc .
When crusing (all speeds) and I let off the pedal the rpms either hold or rise 1000 rpm ?
Do I just do the TH fix and move on ? - or IAC ? both ?
Did search ! but no real solutions for "throttle rise"
Advice appreciated .

Both throttle hang and moosing can include rising RPMs. Do the throttle hang fix and you should be good to go. Clean the IAC if you also have an idle problem (stalling).

Well I did clean the IAC yesterday as part of the ordeal , so it is either Too clean or broken . If I'd been able to take pics of the UIM/LIM and TB it would be easy for me to explain how dirty it was . 51k on the engine, 1/4" sludge behind the TB ,LIM runners 3/8 - 1/2" of slugde !Almost 7 hours 3 cans of B12 and a case of brake cleaner later I was done . Yes the LIM butterflies still worked - how I don't know . This was a direct result of NO PCV valve at all - someone deleted it entirely . No CEL either (until I replaced the bulb - which was removed ? too )
I'll just do the TH fix then - seems too simple of a fix ,but works and is Cheap cheap .
Thanks !!!

You did (hope I didn't miss it in my skimming) reset the computer after the UIM cleaning, right?

Yes , the battery was actually removed from the car . The battery tray makes a good spot for tools and a "bolt bin"

Does it make sense to anyone that car manufacturers still recycle the oil laden crankcase fumes directly back into the intake via the PCV valve. You would think that a little technology could be applied to better separate out the vaporized oil and not bring it back into the intakes where it can mix with the exhaust gases and crud everything up.
A week after cleaning my UIM/LIM I pulled it off again and the amount of oil coating surfaces was amazing in spite of a good working PCV valve.
