I was at the Ford dealership today trying to order a part and picked up a SVT Focus brochure on the way out. It detailed all the nice features the car has but made no mention of a LSD. Does this mean that the Torsen LSD might not be going into the SVT Focus?

Nope.

SVT Focus uses a Getrag 6-speed that can't handle any torque, so forget about putting a turbo on it.

Sucks, otherwise I was possibly interested in the car if they kept the MTX-75 and dropped in a Quaife....

I think it'll still be in the catalog as a hop-up part for the regular Focii.

But with the Quaife now being dirt cheap, not sure if they're rethinking it...

$595 for a Quaife, sheesh, I remember when people paid $1300 for one. Just shows you how much of a profit margin they've got on those things...

I am sure they have a decent margin, but the fact that they are producing a ton more since Ford ordered them for the European sector, that would tend to lower costs a bit. I sure as hell aint complaining laugh

Quafie's dropped to the new low price after Ford Euro bout 5-10k for the Focus RS. I never heard that the SVT focus was getting a quafie.
