My 2000 SVT quit running at a stop sign the other day. I pulled the codes and got a P1237(fuel pump secondary curcuit FP Driver Module). I have no idea what the hell that is . I pulled the feed side off of the fuel filter and turned on the key no fuel came out, so i am assuming the pump is not running. Now the question is why not? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

First check if the fuse is blown. Then I would check if it is time for a new fuel pump.

Edit. Location of fuse

You have what is known as the returnless fuel system. That means that there is no return line and no fuel pressure regulator in the return line. In the returnless system, the fuel pressure is controlled by the PCM (computer). There is also a module that takes the readings from the PCM and doubles it before sending the signal to the fuel pump. It sounds like it may be that module that is acting up. I don't remember where it is mounted. Maybe someone else does.

Ok, I checked power at the fuel pump and found none. Checked the fuses and the relay and they checked fine. I have a Haynes book for the Contour but it doesn't show the right wiring diagram for the fuel system. Car cranks just fine just won't turn over. I pulled the feed side to the fuel filter with the key on and no fuel came out. When is the pump supposed to run and is power supposed to be there all the time (at the pump)? HELP!

check the following things:

When you turn the key to the ON position for the first time, do you have a whirring from the rear seats? (fuel pump priming?)

Is the fuel pump shutoff flipped? (front driver's side, left interior panel, small circular cutout.

Do you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail? check via the schrader valve slightly underneath the TB.
(I know you are fairly certain the FP is out, but these will GUARANTEE them.. I'm not just trying to get you to do things you already know for the hell of it.. lol)

No whirring or any other noises from the pump. Checked the cutoff switch and it is fine. Did not check pressure at the fuel rail because there was none at the fuel filter with the key on. I guess my biggest question is; is there something in the system that tells the pump to turn on/turns on the pump? The diagnostic code mentions an FP driver module. I am assuming that means "Fuel Pump" driver module. I have no idea what or where that is, if there even is one.

I too am reasonably sure that this is your problem. Maybe someone with a 2000 repair manual can help out by looking up the location for you. The Haynes manual will be of no help, as it does not include the returnless system.

Ok, at this point I think I can break it down to either the Fuel pump driver module or the fuel pump. Does anyone have a diagnostic manual that can give me some way to verify which one it may be. Also does someone have access to a way to get the part number for the driver module and its location.
