Looking to find a company that will offer upgrades to the stock PCM similar to the way Hondata does. Basically, keep the stock PCM and have it modified for chip usage and laptop editing and datalogging. I really don't want to go with a stand alone unit just because building your own fuel and ignition maps is a pain. The simplicity of hondata's setup is hard to beat. Just wanted to know if we know of a company that offers such upgrades to the stock EEC-V processor.
95 Contour, Custom EVO bodykit, 2.0l, PNP Focus head, Stage 2 cams, Je pistons, Eagle rods, 4in1header, 2.5" header back exhaust(complete stainless), D P nitrous, ram air intake, 10mm wires, flamethrower.

Try contacting Cosworth (Powerworks). They go and tune the stock ECU for their supercharger kits.....don't see why they can't do it for the Tour.

I was thinking of somthing a bit more along the lines of they socket the ECU and Provide the tools (like hondata's setup) to tune your own car. I really don't want to deal with someone over the phone and try to tell them how the car runs and then wait for a burned chip to arrive. When for a few hundred more, I CAN TUNE IT MYSELF. Besides, I don't want to have to wait for shipping my new tune when I want to be driving.

EEC Tuner (It's for EEC IV but if you know anything about computer you might be able to get it to work.. Quote:

If you are a developer, a chip tuner, or computer hacker/car enthusiast, the answer is maybe. Here�s how. You can use hex addresses to change memory locations to values you supply. The only value to this is if you know that, for example, location 0x8C10 and 0x8C11 is where the idle is stored and it is a value that is multiplied by 4. You could calculate the changes and deposit the new value by adding the following lines to the modification file you download to your Tuner:
0x8C10 0xFA #in this example, this changes the idle to 1000 (250*4). 250=0xFA
0x8C11 0x00

http://www.sctflash.com/ These are the main guys. They have either a flasher to reprogram the stock ECU or a chip to keep the stock settings and change settings with a switch.
