I have no problem with anyone here, every single contour owner I talked to was cool as hell, except Eric L. obviously.

To everyone else, I hope you guys had a good time at the autoX and with the SZ in general. I liked each and every Contour I saw. I've always liked the looks of your cars, the SVT body cladding is sweet and the fact that they come with BFG G-Force TA KDW as a stock tire kicks ass in my opinion.

Sorry Eric... I believe the Maxima guy.

I had an SVT, and I've driven Maximas... and assuming the Maxima was newer.... bye bye SVT in a drag race. The Auto-X is a different story though.

Nope that was me in the black SE w/ SVT body parts. Rara has dark hair in the Tropic Green SVT. I was the one in front of the 2 cars that gave you the thumbs.

Some of your CG members came into my work and we talked for a minute, they were nice guys. Apparently not all Contour owners are quite that civil. Steve Chang is, I know that, as I used to be his next door neighbor about 2 years ago.
Hey man, me and Ed visited your joint Friday night for a late dinner (great pizza btw!). We left at around midnight and you might remember we chatted for a bit. I would've invited you over after your shift but we had just gotten into town from Canada and were way tired. I guess some people got the wrong idea seeing you cruise the lot without stopping.

lol, I was referring to MY car, my brakes definataly weren't up to the task (in dire need of replacement, occasional metal-to-metal) and I'm trying to stretch the life on my tires, since they are almost gone, and I have no cash (just bought a house) I was seriously considering not running my car for those reasons.
But even considering those things, I know that had I been driving at least the way I normally do, I could have picked up at least 3/4 of a second, there were a few spots I flubbed on even my best run.

and for those wondering, I already have a full set of rotors and pads to go on the car, just need the time to do it . . .

Nealoc,
todras is right, I was in the green SVT behind him, and I have fairly dark brown hair.
btw, nice Max laugh and just ignore Eric, someone pissed in his cornflakes.

todras and Rara, OK I've got it straight who was who now. Gerald yes I remember you and your friend as well, good chatting with you two also.

It really amazed me the level of dedication alot of you guys showed, with the distances you drove to SZ. After I delievered a pizza to one of your guys at the Clarion, Friday night I believe it was, another guy was walking out and we talked for a minute, he said he'd driven 900 miles from Massachussetts (spelling?). I was blown away. Then there was Gerald and his friend with a 5 or 6 hour drive from Toronto, and another guy I overheard at the AutoX who drove from Alabama I think it was. I was impressed with the support your CEG members showed for SZ, I wish we could get half as many people to show up for a Maxima meet.

Yeah I dont understand what it is with SHO owners either. You mention a meet and at first everyone seems excited as hell. Then when it comes time to actually MEET, everyone has an excuse why they can't go! I was one of only 3 SHO's from SHOCAGO there, and our club has about 30 or so members. I didn't know Maxima clubs had the same problem. Thats too bad cause I really want to buy a Maxima one day. There were some REALLY nice Tours at SZ, though. I just don't know if I would trust one with me behind the wheel after hearing Terry Haines describe just how weak its trans is! laugh
