OP crazycd1 Newbie C Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4 NE Ohio	Just got a 97 contour and it has a leaking trunk, I can see its comming from the passenger side, and it doesn't look like its the actual seal itself. Its been raining here for 2 days so I have not been able to work on it yet, so I was wondering if this is a normal thing for the contour or not? I am guessing its the tail light, but not sure yet, when it get nicer out I will tear into it, just looking to see if its a known thing with these.... Thanks 97 contour

FavoriteMystaque Hard-core CEG\'er F Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,456	Check if there is water in the license lamp housing, (bulb sockets) dripping on you when you open the trunk. You might have to regasket that assembly.

Max02 CEG\'er M Joined: May 2003 Posts: 363	When my trunk was leaking, I found that on the right side of the trunk there is an "air vent" and that was what was leaking. I sprayed some Great Stuff around it, and it hasn't leaked since. 2002 Nissan Maxima SE Former 2000 SVT Contour owner

OP crazycd1 Newbie C Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4 NE Ohio	Thanks for the help, I tore into it and it turned out to be the right tail light and the vent. Sealed both and seems fine now. I did search, for everything but "wet trunk" no other searh terms gave me that thread, not even just trunk... so oh well.... Last edited by crazycd1; 10/28/05 12:12 AM. 97 contour
