Ok, so I'm looking for an SVT bumper to put on my 95. I found a ford bumper at a local junk yard for $490, but looking on the internet they sell after market SVT bumpers primed and ready to paint for $315 and some sites do not charge for shipping on purchases over $250.

What do you think of aftermarket parts? i.e. quality, looks, etc. Should I go with the aftermarket bumper or go with the ford one? I'm also assuming the aftermarket one will fit a 95 if the ford bumper does.

the rear fits right on, the front requires a lot of work and alteration. Look in the group buy forum, there was a buy getting together on premodified SVT bumpers for the pre-98 tours, they look great!

To help with your question, there are no aftermarket SVT front bumpers... Ford is the only supplier for SVT front and rear covers. Now, I did buy a remanned SVT front cover from a wrecked SVT that a plastic bumper specialist in OK City refinished, at a discount. Believe I gave $150 or $175 for it. It was as good as new IMO. There are aftermarket hood and fenders and door skins, aftermarket meaning direct fit, factory spec'd., not aftermarket as in custom.
