GO BLUE!
Whaddya guys think? N-Western this Sat, then Indiana, then the dreaded OSU. . .if we take Indiana and N'Western, we could be potentially tied for Big10 conf title, with either PSU or Wisconsin, depending on the turn out of that game, and of course maybe OSU depending on their end of season schedule. . .I'm getting nervous here, partially given up, but still hoping for the best. . .

I'm an Illini (yes, they stink this year) so I hate Michigan AND Ohio State. But congrats to the Maize and Blue, it's tough for visitors to win at Kinnick Stadium.

Well, we (PSU) pulled it off against OSU at home... where do you play them?

At home.

Over the past few years things have seemed to always work out for Michigan. Hopefully this year won't be any different. Although Northwestern is looking like it will be a tough game as well as Ohio State.

Substitute 'an Illini' with 'a Michigan' and 'stink' with 'choke' to have an even more accurate statement.

EVERY year? I was in Chambana during the Mike White regime, including the 1983 Illini team that ran the table on their way to the Rose Bowl. David Wilson and Tony Eason both came out of his program to become starting QBs in the NFL. Didn't Wilson pass for like 649 yards in ONE GAME at Ohio State? Perhaps the wildest second half of college football ever, but it's news to you. Edit that for accuracy.

Those same years the Illini were tough in hoops. Kentucky edging the Illini at Kentucky to make the Final Four led to the rule change about not playing NCAA playoff games on your home floor. Kentucky had Sam Bowie and Mel Turpin at center/power forward, both went high in the NBA draft, and the Illini still played well enough to beat Kentucky at Kentucky.

Dinner Bell Mel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember that '88-'89 team very well... Kenny Battle (former Piston), Nick Anderson, Kendall Gill (damn, that guy was good in college), Marcus Liberty. They had some solid teams in the late '80s-early '90s.

Davo likes to make blanket statements to piss people off. I bet he knows full well that UofI has had some good seasons. And I bet he also knows that UofM, under Lloyd Carr, has one of the best records against top 20 schools of any current coach. But I also know they lose to enough NDs early in the season to know he is right. But outside of USC the last couple of years, EVERY team chokes just about every year.
