Looking for recommendations for replacing struts on my SVT without lowering ride height. After searching posts here many seem interested in lowering ride height.
With the roads in the Northeast (CT) I scape front and rear ends now and then entering and leaving parking lots. Taller tires 225/50/16 KDW have helped quite a bit. After 135K on the original struts I think its time.
Thanks
Matt

BAT Struts... Koni Struts.. KYB Struts..
all will be a major ride enhancement.. regardless if your at stock height or lowered...
if your looking for a slight upgrade to what you had originally I would go with the BAT struts...

Go with KYBs if you are looking to keep everything stock.

ALthough I agree that they are technically worse, I have found them somewhat comparable and cheap. I have also used KYBs in other cars and found them to be decent although not stellar.
IMHO, if you want to keep your car as a daily driver, without modifications and want the damper quality to match the age of your rapidly aging car, KYB's should be adequate and cost effective.
However, there are certainly better and more expensive options.

Does the car ride lower than previously? Have you replaced springs? I had 3 of 4 springs crack. Typical problem, fronts were replaced under campaign for free. Back end was really low. Do you tow Hobie w/ SVT? I used to have 16 and towed w/ SVT now have Sea Doo - Need to sail again. I may be in market for Struts soon too, if you've seen my post on oscillation
Good Luck,
Brad

Original Ride height, all original equipment except tires.
I have a Hobie 18, but I don't tow it with the SVT.
