okay i have had the Vortech on my Contour for the past 9 months. i am going to see if i can take action on something i have always been curious about. on my electronic fuel pressure i get it to read 58psi at max power. other S/Ced Contours are reading 80 to 100 on the guage. is this because i am using an electronic guage? i have the Phantom guage and i figured for the amount i payed it would be precise. or is there a problem with my fuel pressure. the a/f guage reads rich all the way through the rpm's. but it does sound like there is detonation after 5K. am i a retard or whats going on? cant figure out whats up.

my friend had some problems with his electrical guage from them and ended up going to a mach. w/isolator.

the electrical he had never read right and also would show 0psi at idle but under the hood it would read 30 psi on a machanical guage on the fuel rail

all i need now is a lot of throttle and a whole lot of bottle

i wish i was a NitroFish

Go with a mech gage and consider upgrading your fuel line connections for the higher pressures.

will do. i was told the mechanical is more reliable when it comes to the fuel pressure.

Most electrical gages have two probs, delay in quick pressure changes and not that accurate. If you go mech try to get a 'filled' gage ,that is one with an oil or damping medium in it to stop the needle 'jerking'. wink
