Yep,the Contour seems like a disposable car. Only the enthusiasts or the elderly take care of them. For the Contours you find,they're either cheap because they are garbage,or they're stupid expensive because they're pristine,or they're moderately priced (towards the more expensive side) because they're modified. I tried selling my Mystique for $3200 privately before I took $1000 for a trade in and the dealer to turn around and sell the car for $600.

Chris,
I know what you mean. I hard a hard time finding a Contique V6 MTX in decent condition. (I found a perfect one for 7000$ but picked up nice one for 4000$ with a few known issues)
The trip from Toronto to Montreal is only 4 hours. (at least that was the time it would take me when I lived in Toronto and I would drive back to Montreal to see the folks) If you change your mind, let me know.

Hi Eric I did notice that one. I have been looking closely at Contours and Mystiques, and I may go with the Mystique, only because they tend to be more loaded with leather and sunroof, though a little more money, and I will probably go with an ATX. Saying that, if a nice 1995 to 1997 Contour SE pops up, that would still be my first choice.

And another question, i'm new to contyque.. The back suspention of the Contour SE is all independant? or it's a beam?
