I dont get how that people have work done to thier CSVT and only run mid 15's or worse. A stock CSVT is claimed to run 15.4, but thats on paper. On a track people run 15.1 - 14.9 at stock. I ran 15.0 flat stock. What are people doing wrong? eek

Track conditions, Elevation, Temp & Humidity, lack of a diff worth a damn, lack of power shifting, lack of shifting ability.... Shall I go on...

At the track here (KCIR) I ran 15.9-16 @ 88 bone stock. Needless to say I was not happy at the time. I now run 15.1 @ 92. No Contour has ever run in the 14's here except Sam's S/C'd one. (very high 14's - it ran high 13's at the Topeka track - nothing different but the track)

I would kill to run at a good track at sea level!!! laugh

I agree here. Alot has to do with the driver, track, traction at the line. If someone knows how to drive their car, then there shouldn`t be any problem. When I ran my car stock, I was running mid 15`s. Then when I got used to the car, I was able to learn to drive it. A lot of people are just beginners (just like me). It takes time to learn how to launch, where to shift, how to shift etc....
