I've had a Centerforce clutch in my Mustang for upwards of 25,000 miles so far with no problems. If you break it in correctly there should be no problems with premature wear.
If I remember correctly, Centerforce recommends 500 - 1,000 miles of easy driving, preferably city driving, with no hard accelerations for a stop and slipping of the clutch either. In any case, I am pretty convienced that Centerforce makes the best clutches money can buy.

i just love the good old center force but sometime things are to good. and if they dont slip a little and parts go bye bye Just keep replacing the broken parts with stronger stuff, and eventually you will weed out all the weak links That is the route I have unintentionally taken. Now with Quaife, and Stage II Heavy Duty Halfshafts, all stuff that needed replacing, my next problem, I would suspect would be the stock clutch. Still going strong after 45,000 miles of HARD driving and countless runs at the dragstrip. Its only a matter of time. Anyone want to guess how long the clutch will last once I get the vortech running at full song

Where did you get the Halfshafts from? How much did they cost?
Sounds like your clutch is nearing D-day once that Vortech gets back....

According to Centerforce the V6 Clutch,Dual friction #DF988988 does not have the added weights as most c/force clutches do due to lack of clearence in the b/housing,same for the Zetec clutch #MS142142 ?
