I had a oil leak on my 96 SE which was always thought to be from a sloppy oil change, as most people here know you smell the oil burning on the Y pipe, from oil that spills from the oil filter. Two dealer mechanics looked at the problem and never found the real source. I finally purchased a U/V light and dye kit to locate it on my own. It wasn't easy to find but on my car it turned out to be the spare oil gallery plug to right and below the oil sending unit. It wasn't much of a leak, but it was always damp in the pan area. The plug is easier to see with the oil filter removed and using an inspection mirror. To fix it I had remove the three bolts that hold the A/C compressor to the block and tie it radiator to gain working room to get at the plug. There is enough play in the A/C hose, after you loosen some clamps so you don't have to discharge the system.
Just wanted to past this along. I only found "CEG" in Dec. of 2001 after I got a cable modem. I thank all the people who have added so much information to make this a great site.
