Can an outer CV joint be affected if it is bent at an extreme angle? I did that on my vehicle, and now have a shudder upon acceleration. I am wondering if one of the ball bearings in the joint fell out of its cage.

Thanks,

they can certainly be affected. It states(Haynes and others), IIRC, that a 45º angle is the MAX angle on the outer.. (15º on the inner??) (Don't hold me to that number.. its off the top of my head)
