OP A3ON CEG\'er A Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 73 ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.	well i have a 95 se 2.5 mtx , today when i got out of my car my ignition key would'nt come out. it stays in the acc position ,so i can start my car ,but cant turn it off. so i have to stall it in order to turn off my car. i know how to remove the key tumbler but i cant turn my key into the position to push the little button to remove it. any ideas how to remove the tumbler i really dont want to break or replace the whole collum. 95 s.e. 2.5l mtx ,koni yellows, h&r springs,kkm intake, ddm,custom catback exhaust, spec stage 3 , fidanza flywheel, all 98 svt midnight blue interior. , and much more....

98-contour-zetec CEG\'er 9 Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 148 tennessee	try the wd-40 and wiggle it a bit mybe it will come free. i dont beleave it will mess up the whole thing u just need to free it up a bit to get it to turn to get it.welcome to ceg.

OP A3ON CEG\'er A Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 73 ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.	well wd40 didnt work. i got my key out, but the car will still run. it feels like the whole tumbler is :censored: up. i really dont wanna hammer and drill on my collum to get the thing out. i will just unplug the connector to the ignition switch to turn off the car. 95 s.e. 2.5l mtx ,koni yellows, h&r springs,kkm intake, ddm,custom catback exhaust, spec stage 3 , fidanza flywheel, all 98 svt midnight blue interior. , and much more....

microtonal CEG\'er M Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 98	Get the IC replaced ASAP before the key or IC is stuck for good. This happened on my Focus and it was no fun drilling. Click here If you can pull the IC out, you're already pretty much done 90% of the job. Most locksmiths or Ford dealers can get you the IC. Ford dealers can even adjust/fit the tumbers for your key if you have the original keys. They just need your VIN. 98 Contour GL/03 ZX3 Focus/05 ZX3 SES Focus
