Im sick of lookin at the steel wheels I have and I have about 4 sets of pretty cool ass wheels that I could use if I had some adaptors.. Where can I find some adaptors to run a normal bolt pattern wheel? Contour bolt pattern pretty much limits us to some gotti ass lookin wheels when it comes to aftermarket.. Im not lookin for SVT wheels because thats like adding turbo stickers to a civic..

I have lots of different wheels that would look awesome on the Tour..

I have
5x100mm
5x114.3mm
4x100mm

most of em are brand new with tires..

Where can I find some lug adaptors to run what i already have? This isnt my favorite method of doing things, but its the cheapest at the moment..

thanks

Wheel adapters play havoc on the suspension geometry and wheel bearing life. I would not recommend them.

BS - because of the Focus and our shared bolt pattern, almost all of the cool wheel out there are now available to us. This was not the cars 4-5 years ago.

Like Demon says - wheel adapters are ghetto and basically cause more problems than they're worth.

That's the truth. why risk damage when you just need to search for wheels that fit the focus. there is a huge tuner market for the focus, damn just look at ebay under focus wheels and there are at least 10-15 at a time.

also do a search there have been lists posted of places that sell rims.

just find a company that sells blanks or will custom drill a rim to the 4x108 pattern... its not that hard.. Axis did it for my 19's and charged only an extra 20.00 a wheel to do it.

He doesn't even have to go THAT far to find cool wheels with custom drilling. Like Stazi said, because of the popularity of the Focus, older Audi's, some Volvo's, and the Couger... the Contour has a seemingly endless supply of wheels ranging from 14"s to 20"s. Sell your 4 useless sets of rims and tires and buy a set that fits.

You could also swap the hubs out for some from a Jag X-type, as I believe that is a 5x100 lug pattern. Not sure what that will do with the offset, and you'll need the calipers, rotors, etc. Buuuuuuut, it will cost you a TON, no no.. A TON to do this conversion and will also include you buying some lube to give to the delaership to give it to you while you hand over your credit card. Probably twice the cost of a set of Awesome 18" Millie Miglia F20's with tires. (1700 bucks)

Just a heads up, as I've already looked into this in the past.

yes I do agree with you on the many to choose from comment on rims sized 17 and 18... once you start searchin for 19's or 20's be prepared to have hardly anything to look at.. When I looked for my 19's there were about 4 sets to choose from and they were all ugly so I opted to go the custom drilled route.

If you want 19's that are cheap and fit the 4x108 bolt pattern look into ICON (or IKON) wheels.. they are made by APC - I personally would never buy APC wheels but alot of people are quite happy with them.
