Clevite 77 bearings:
CB-1772P Rod bearing, available in standard, -.25MM, -.50MM, and -.75MM
In the parts for the 3L build, I wanted to get some Clevite 77 bearings. There are different sizes (as I'm sure you already know) ranging from standard size to -.75mm. If someone could go into some small detail on what size goes with what application. Does it matter which you pick? I will be using the stock 3L rods so...
Anyone have a minute to explain this a little so I can understand it? Thanks for your time guys.

Rough answer: From what I found is that the bearing have to match the size of the crank. If you had to have work done to your crank and it is a smaller diameter then you need a smaller bearing size. Also, since all the cranks aren't exactly the same, it may be necessary to use the smaller ones also. The -.75 ones are like, never used, and most people (from what ive read) use the standards or -.25 Helpful Link: Click me

I just got the standard Clevite's. Didn't do any measuring. Just need a new set of TTY rod bolts.

When we put my motor together, we plasti-gauged them with the once used rod bolts. It was in spec (with the standard bearings) and then slapped in some new rod bolts and that was it.

Unless you've had the crank turned you'll be fine.
