Yes you do have SVT Cams! TO be more specif you have: 8" pitch SVT cams. Which have F73E prefix.

Maybe you should just get another set of chains for the cams, or take one cam down to the autoparts store and compare until you find a chain that fits. I've never seen that happen before.

LMFAO! you have know idea! right now most of my parts are in a big pile, unlabeled, in John's driveway. we're gonna have so much fun putting it back together
sorry to reply so late. i thought this thread was dead. they should have a little notification button or something. anywho, John said he re-did everything and it went together beautifully. he was positive he used all SVT parts but ill email him this thread to see if he wants to double-check.
God i cant wait to get this thing running. i have to sit down and rub one out every night just to keep from exploding in anticipation driving a 5spd 4x4 trooper lifted on 33z on city streets can only be fun for so many days

Just make sure you take a lok at the cams and chains and 1) make sure they lok seated 2) make sure you ended up with SVT cams afterall. (check part numbers)

Just went outside and looked at Steve's (BK's) old 2.5L and the chains look the exact same as those pics, so it must be how it is. Go figure.

wow. I don't remember mine having that kind of gap. Oh well, a picture will give a certain perspective and isn't perfect.
