Need new bulbs ( Driving lights not high beam ), tried to change them but could not figure out how to get old ones out?
on the drivers side it looks like I might have to take out the battery?
and on the passenger side could not get the bulb unplugged from harness?
also looking for a good bright bulb...HID? are they avail?

Thanx

Oh it's a 98 contour

Lows and highs are the same process.

Twist a quarter turn, or so, to align the tabs with the cut out slots to enable them to fit out of the headlight housing, and pull them straigh back.. No need to remove the battery, or anything, for that matter. If you really need more space, there are three small screws that hold each headlight housing to the car.. two on top (either side) and on in the center, back, down low. Remove those three, and the housing is free, then you can maneuver the housing to an angle that you can reach the bulb itself.

When re-installing, don't touch the bulbs with your hands, or get them dirty.. wipe them off if you do.

Oh.. and to avoid the whole "leg-humping, only-helping-because-the poster-was-a-girl, Why-didn't-you-tell-HER-to-search" thing:

There.. I don't wanna hear it from anyone! LOL
