Yeah I searched, but didn't find exactly what I'm looking for.
Apparently, the bellhousing (and engine mounts?) were changed in '99. Anyone have a pic of what the '98 bellhousing/mounts look like, compared to what the '99+ bellhousing/mounts look like? Any other obvious differences that would signify a '98 longblock over a '99+?
Thanks

Thanks Most '98's have the right bellhousing, just the early ones didn't. I don't have the production date to go by, but the '98 I have is the right one and it was done 05/98 as per the build date on the car purchased from. Nothing else different that I know of.

How about a picure of the back of the block then? Would 98.5+ have the right pattern? Thanks Brad.

You said that most 98's have the right pattern -- I assumed that ford changed the pattern halfway through 98, so 98.5! At any rate, could I get a pic of the right/wrong patterns?

If there is any confusion with the '98 blocks, would it be safer to just stay with '99 and up? I ask b/c I already asked my mechanic to locate a '98 and up block for me.
