My 99 csvt is not blowing any hot air. I am in Minnesota and the weather is getting colder. It is making it tough to drive with no heat. The A/C works great, blows ice cold air, however I have no ability to regulate the temperature.
Any ideas? (heater core, temperature control gaurge not working?
Please help.
Thanks, Mike

Is your engine temp gauge on the high side? This is a possible symptom of a broken water pump impeller.

If your coolant level is too low there might not be enough fluid to circulate through the heating system causing air pockets and the loss of heat. I had this problem with my girlfriends Lumina last winter. I topped off the radiator, refilled the overflow, and the windows were frost free in no time. Sorry for being so vague.

This is common and serious, rule it out first.
Also, the heat door motor or linkage may not be operating. This is under the dash in the passenger footwell.

it could be a couple of things the most common problem is the blend door, it controls the air from the blower to the heater core or evap. can you change the air comming from the floor to vent to defrost? if so its the blend door not the mode doors, im not to familiar with the contour case and duct system but its probally electronically controlled vaccum , so theres either a vacum problem or the microprocessor isnt working right, i know that the blend doors are prone to braking so that might be the worst of your problems. and its probally not a problem with the car being low on collant , since its not blowing warm air atall.

My engine temp is fine. Car runs great, coolant is full, and not a single leak from the car. The car is extremely clean in the engine/underneath, not a speck of rust (except exhaust of course) and no leak marks anywhere underneath.
I have a feeling it is the blend door, as I am getting only extremely cold air. This would tell me I have no hot air access at all.
Anyone accessed the blend door?
Is it tough/long/tedious?
So once I get to the blend door, then what?
Thanks for all the post and keep em coming.
Mike
