Having looked through the forum rules, I wanted to inquire about communication ettiquite.

I will not get into specific details, however I will ask the rest of you guys your opinion.
When doing business over the classifieds, what is a reasonable amount of time a person has to ship merchandise? Moreover, when trying to contact someone, what is a reasonable expectation of response time. (I have been waiting 16 days since I paid for the merchandise, and have not has any response to my calls/emails)

2+ weeks is MORE than enough time for an honest individual, excepting some type of family emergency.
At this point I would feel I was being scammed and see what my legal options are. If the ad said it was going to be mailed via USPS it is Fraud and a Felony. That might get their attention.

Well I hope you're buying from an active member. Go ahead and post the name, somebody will probably know what's up. You're not saying anything bad about them so don't worry. I think your long overdue for a response and the best way to figure out what's up is to post about it.

If anyone knows the guy, Give him a helpful push over to me.. He has a lot of time and activity on the CEG, I figured he was credible, he still has MSDS headers on the classifieds 
I hope the guy is okay, I just want to give him another chance to let me know he's just slow, before I contact paypal.

I think 2 weeks is more than enough for any transaction, especially when the payment is instant online.

This is odd... there is another member that PM'd ME about this guy. saying the same thing... paid.. no comunication.. no shipment. 2+weeks.
He ignores his pms. SO.. I sent him a "what's up" pm, and he replies instantly.. when I reply back asking what the deal is with his transaction and is anything wrong; Well, guess who else never gets a reply, now?

Ummm, Chris!!!! I'm sure you remember getting the shaft from Custom Cougars or wherever it was that you ordered some parts from, and you aired it publicly. Now's the time to fess up and give the guy a response! Definitely tough to believe any family emergency when you average 20 posts a day.
