The car seems to be cutting out or stumbling/hesitating during all points from a standing start up until the secondaries open. It always stumbles during low revs while giving it gas. Once the secondaries open there is no stumbling or cutting out at all during light or heavy acceleration.

-It is a early 99 SVT
-Return style fuel system
-Plugs and wires were replaced about 30k mi ago with Autolite double plats and Ford racing wires
-Replaced fuel filter about 10k mi ago
-There is no CEL
-Cleaned manifold and t-body recently

Any ideas or suggestions on where to start?

  • Make sure both secondaries are closing.
  • Test fuel pressure response under load.
  • Check TPS.
  • Check for stuck PCV valve.
