SVT 065G,

I think you're overreacting. If you're not the one with "that long assed sig," then you must not be the person Judge was directing his post at.

Judge you need to wake the hell up!!!

Don't you worry about my sig, just worry about your damn engineering expertise...Since were all know it alls!

I think I tried to clear up what I said regarding you, but since it didn't matter, I think it's you with something stuck up his AS5!!! Honestly I think your whole intention was to boast of your knowledge, I mean comeone you're post nearly mimicked what I said, with a few additions, it's as if you're telling me something I already said. I got a little bent-out-of-shape about your post, I tried to take it back, if you can't, stay the hell out of this topic, before you just create more havac.

Sure my knowledge of Dampers is not extennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnsive as yours, but I have confidence in what I'm trying very hard to provide for the community, and I think most will agree!! I have not once knocked the stock damper in anyway, I have not knocked the aftermarket pulleys available, all I'm trying to portray is that these things have there limits, and that I have full confidence that the Fisher Damper will challenge each of there limmits, and have an answer for it, you can't knock a guy for trying, but if you keep up with the "I know everything," attitude I might just need to, Well I'll stop at that!!! cool

I'mua (move forward) Aloha........

Hey guys do yourselves a favor and go call Fisher, ask for Todd, if not I'm sure Tim will be of big help, and ask them any lingering thoughts about this Damper. I'm sure they'll be able to explain better than I am.

Fisher Concepts - (562)861-6882, there in Pacific Standard Time.....

My aim was to maybe shed a little more light on the particular part in question [the Fisher] since a few people seem a little in the dark on it still. Sorry if I've beat a dead horse here Judge.

Now, if you're not too sore at me, maybe you could help me understand something a little better?

If for instance I were to build a 3L. Let's assume the stock damper is doing a excellent job of cancelling harmonic vibrations. If I invested in new forged pistons, new wrist pins, and forged rods, would the stock damper still be "tuned" properly with the changes to reciprocating part densities, and overall weights? What about if I changed a rotational piece, such as lighter flywheel?

I'm sorry if this is all redundant to you, but I'm trying to understand if the undesireable frequencies are more a function of inherent weights, or more of dimentions. ie. The cranks overall length, and length of it's throws, counter weights. Rod center to center length etc.
confused

At the point your engine would be: Yes a new damper would be highly recommended.

Actually if you read my post and understood TVD's you would understand thet what I said is that there is a DUAL MODE damper available for the 2.5L. It is made for torsional damping as well as it takes care of some crank whip. That is where the problem is gonna happen with most of the failed engines. Crank whip is usually referred to as a bending problem. The second mode of the TVD takes care of that. I do not think I have to brag about my qualifications around here, there are a few people on board that will do it for me. So why don't you do a SEARCH on UDP's and look at the data that I provided the last time this was brought up.

Is this some kind of new sell tactic that I'm not aware of??? Where does it say that the bigger an asshole you are the more you are gonna sell? I don't think I've seen anyone as defensive as you either. I, for one, may consider this Fisher Damper in the future but I'm sure as hell not gonna rely on you for anything, what a little racist friggin' baby you are. Have you considered anger management classes?

This is exactly my point...if you could check out all of Quicksilvers old posts you'd see just how much of an ass he is. I don't know whats wrong with this "HAWAIAANN" but he's definately eaten one too many volcanic rocks.
Also, QUICKSILVER, stop threatening me with pm's man...I don't know who the hell you think you are! And no...I will not have sex with you nor am I going to give you my phone number!
Oh...and about this Fisher Damper...it may be something I might look into in the future, ecspecially if it'll help my engine with the turbo Chris Hightower is working on...but you can bet your life I'm not going to work with you and I'm definately going to let the people at Fisher Damper know how much of a jerk you are and how you probably turned some people away from their product.
