Has anyone tried the Kumho Ecsta SPT tires yet? I need a new set of summer tires for my E0 SVT with stock wheels and suspension. Based on the Tirerack testing the SPT looked very good for an affordable performance tire, but there are very few customer reviews right now. After reading everything at Tirerack.com and on the forums here I am also looking at the Fuzion ZRi and Yokohama AVS ES100, but both of them had lots of reviewers saying they were noisy. I plan on replacing the stock 205/55R16's with 225/50R16's, based on the experiences of others here, and because they are only a few bucks more (instead of going to the 215/50R16 which are very expensive). Anyone have any other recommendations or suggestions?

Auto-X Fil - Thanks for your input on the Ecsta SPT in the other thread. They look very promising from the Tirerack tests, just not much customer feedback yet and seems none from anyone here. If I end up buying them I will post a review. I think I will stick with 205/55 just so I don't have any problems rubbing, don't want the bulged side wall look, and would like crisp handling. Can't afford to switch tires again if the fatter ones don't work out.

I have em' and I hate em' I really liked the Avon Tech M500 I had before, stuck like glue, but wore out in 6k miles. The SPT grips good as long as the road suface is consistant and smooth, as soon as there is a road suface variation the SPT hunts for grip and does not respond quickly leaving you with a floating feeling until it decides to grip the road again. I purchased the SPT based on Tire Racks tests and I now I wish I had just bought the Avons again and dealt with crappy tire life.
