I'd like to get another key made for my SVT but I'm not sure which version PATS I have.

I did a search and found that the newer style has a key with a jewel in it. My key does not have a jewel, but my build date is 05/98 which "should" be the newer style.

How can I be sure which version I have?

Thanks!

Yours is not the "jewel" key. Non of the Contours are.

The "jewel" PATS key has a slightly smaller handle and has a Ford "blue oval jewel" emblem on it.

So do I have the old style that can program with one key or the new style that requires 2?

Thanks!

Probably not. The change from needing to use two keys instead took place about the same time (or maybe a bit earlier) than the change from E0 to E1.
