Wassup guys, i've been coming to this site for awhile now but just registered. I soon will be getting a ATX 2000 SE Sport and I wanted to get the SVT body kit for it. I wanted to know where I can get it and about how much it'll run me. I love the Contour and have two of them in my family. The one i'm getting is my moms car but I am getting it once she buys her car which will be a 2006 Mustang. It's got about 51,xxx miles on it right now. My first mod will probably be a trubendz magnaflow. If anyone can give me some pointers on what mods to do first and if the SVT kit is hard to install, thanks a lot.

-CEG classifieds
-ebay
-junkyard
-new from the dealership

Id say the least you could get away with buying the kit used is maybe $500 for everything but thats hard to come by. Chances are for that price though, some bodywork needs to be done because the pieces are slightly damaged, but fixable. Realistically, youll probably end up paying around $700 or so for used. If you buy it from the dealership, its about $700 for just the rear bumper. Then factor in the price of paint.

I looked at my invoice from bill and I paid around $755 for the kit minus the rear bumper which runs around $850 now. so your looking at $1500 easy going all new. It took me along time too source out a decent rear bumper and found one with a minor scratch for $250. 2000's didn't come with side skirts so take your time fitting the brackets to hang the skirts. paint will be roughly $100-$200.

I also want to add that I did this in 2001 so it was hard to find parts used back then, svt's that wound up in junk yards where usually wiped. rear bumpers where much easier to get has the cars usually where hit in the front so that's why I went the route I did.

paint only $100-200? For what, just the sideskirts?

Good luck finding new parts that cheap these days too.

Good lucky buddy. All us non SVT drivers want an SVT kit. So all I can say is keep searching and when you find one snatch it up cause they go fast and they are HARD to find. Good luck and post pics of your ride!

yeah I was off on the paint qoute. i had it done at my friends body shop so I got a discount and it was 4yrs ago.

like I and others said the parts are big bucks and used are very rare. even with bill jenkins discount I paid alot but I could afford it at the time. I drove around for along time w/o a svt rear bumper trying to find a used one, glad I finally did because it looks like ass with the svt kit and se rear bumper. best of luck.

Or vice-versa: SVT kit and SE front bumper

oh yeah you will either need to get some elky mesh for the bumpers and grille or again pay mucho for factory ones. you will need to modify the se foglight bracket alittle to fit the svt bumper and you will need clips to hold the mesh/lower grilles onto the bumpers. I went oem clips and all the grilles when I did my project, couldn't have done it without bill though.

remember if you ever get used side skirts make sure you get the mounting brackets or you will have to get them from ford since 2000's didn't have them. I'm sure though after reading all of this it about killed this mod for you.
