Sadly, the V6 isnt avliable with an MTX. Only the 2.3L Duratec I4.. BUT I know why they did this. The plan is a marketing ploy, for those people who want a high performance edition, there will be an SVT model. its almost a given.

yes taurus's are only produced as fleet vehicles as of now.

Actually, I thought the 500 was the Taurus replacement, and the Fusion was to be between the 500 and the Focus (i.e., the Contour replacement).

It's still going back and forth inside Ford. I wouldn't hold your breath. Right now it's called the Fusion GT.
