She breathed fire tonight. First time!
Complete 2003 Taurus 3L swap including 3L upper and lower.
I'm excited to get my chip in from ADC, and start her new life as a subtle sleeper.
Thanks for all the help guy's. I'll let ya know how things go this weekend.

wholy crap?!? You guys are instaling Ford Taurus engines into these rides? OUCH! how hard is it to get to the spark plugs? any pics?

Did you read the line that you quoted? He said "UNLESS it's been rebuilt or been torn apart its already broke in" meaning, if he just bought a used motor and installed it WITHOUT putting new bearings in, the motor is already broken in.
Oh, and to let you know, I installed new rod bearings and flogged the hell out of it the day I got it running. 37k miles later, it runs better than ever.
