just a real quick question here, (and a little history) my car has an extreme loss of power and hvae been informed due to my CEL that i need to check the IMRC and look at the bushings under the TB. I would have no problem taking the TB off but i dont know if there is a gasket that i am going to have to go and buy after i do this check, so i can replace it after i find what is wrong. (hopefully) Can someone help? thanks

They are only a few bucks, while you have it off clean the TB and the passages.

I've had my throttle body off twice. In both cases, I did not anticipate before that I would be taking it off, so I did not have a gasket. Both times I was able to get by without replacing the gasket.

I would say that if you know that you are going to remove the throttle body, you really should bet a gasket. It would be preferred. Then you would not need to worry about "getting by".
