Do you know if it's feasable to swap the original CSVT dash/console and replace it with a pre-98 Mystique one ?

I'll need to check but I think the tan interior is the same for both, I'm not sure about the navy blue one.

I'll explain why : I'm looking to buy a Contour SVT, and I'm planning to put a 7in touch screen, plugged to a computer, in place of the radio. The pre-98 Mystique dash is perfect for that operation, because the radio and the small rectangular tray under it are flush mounted and the dimensions are perfect for the screen.
This is not the case with pre-98 Contour, where the tray is offset from the radio (at least an inch deeper). And the CSVT dosen't even featur the tray.
And the fact that the pre-98 Mystique dash is looking way better than the newer one help .

So, what's your thoughts about that? Could it be done, with a lot of work I'm pretty sure?

Oh, and do you know if lighted interior door handle can be wired on a CSVT?

Thanks!

Etienne

i would guess its all swappable. Im guessing the only thing Ford changed was the dash vents, etc.

LEDs can be added into the door handles, but im not the electrical guru.

Or maybe I could swap the entire interior door handle assembly, just for the sake of keeping it simple hehe.

I think the blue color from the pre 98 mystiques is different from the blue in the 98+ models...

In the pre 98 mystiques, the blue was called atlantis blue, and the 98+ blue is mindnight blue....I saw an atlantis blue interior once, and it seemed lighter than the midnight ....but if you're swapping the whole interior it might not matter...

Thanks for your help all !

So I think I'm better sticking to the tan interior, as I'll probably swap the door panels too... I'm kinda biased about that tan Mystique interior, my mother's 95 have it, it would look classy in a T-Red or black 98.5+ SVT, but with the SVT seats, hehe...

Now, the only thing missing is the SVT
