to start the car is a 1998 ford contour se "sport" v6 atx,

with 98xxx miles on it. what happens is during some

sweeping turns and slighty sharp turns ( on and off ramps

are the only places ive noticed) the E-brake light

sometimes flickers on and off, sometimes it just barely

lights up, then other times its all the way on, but only

for like .5 to 1 seconds. but it only happens on turns.

anyone else have this happen before? its kinda annoying but

no big deal if it just flickers and isnt really having the

e-brake on. ~thanks in advance~

Well known fact: the E-brake indicates the Ebrake is on...

What is slightly LESS well known is this: (NEVER GO UP AGAINST A CICILIAN... WHEN DETH IS ON THE LINE!! HA HA. AH HAHA. AH AHAHAHA.. *thud*)

j/k.. less known is that the light also indicates low brake fluid.. I assume your fluid is moving to one side, and triggering that light.. check your brake fluid level.

Are you positive it is the e-brake light and not the engine oil light?

similar problem

i had my calipers powdercoated, etc. Ever since my e-brake light won't shut off. I took the e-brake cable off the rear calipers and re-set them back on the calipers....light still stays on constantly. I'm pretty sure I'm fine on brake fluid.....but I'll check it. In the meantime do you guys have any other suggestions? Thanks!! slingersvt

Perhaps its a switch problem on the EBRAKE handle?
