Hey all, I am extremely overjoyed! I just brought my 99 Contour SVT home from a 2 hour drive (I got it from a towing yard) and the drive was awesome. Here are some pics of it from the ebay auction that I won it from: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4575114468&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AITAll of the damage is cosmetic, the frame is fine, It will need a new bumper, right and (maybe) left fender and some light body work on everything else. But the cool thing about it that it has 47,000 on it! Just broken In. The drive back was amazing! This car loves high speeds and is gears very well. It seems to have a decent amount of torae and loves high revs! I love it! Anyone have a SVT bumper for sale? That will be the hardest thing for me to find. The motor is GREAT the interior is GREAT just dirty but no scratches cracks or tears. I am glad to be a part of this forum!!!

Thank you very much guys! tomorrow I am going to clean the interior to the best of my ability and take pictures so that one day I can post a before and after of the car!! Its great! the drive train is awesome, the only things i noticed with the car that werent related to the body damage was that it needs a wheel alignment and the throttle seems to hang, it revs to about 4-5krpm when it is in neutral and when im shifting. I am reading about the fixes for this right now. Would it be smart to just start by cleaning the throttle body? Is there anything that I could throw in the gas tank that could help? (i.e. FI cleaner/carb cleaner) Thanks again for the welcome guys.

Welcome to the family , Tabari (where's Todras with that family photo ?) . Seems like you got a good deal on your SVT .
The throttle hang issue with these cars is that it "hangs" for a couple seconds between shifts , not that it revs up . It's a simple , easy & cheap fix , so I'd do it anyway . If you're looking for a fuel additive to throw in the tank , I believe the one you want is "Techron" . It comes in a black bottle , IIRC .

It will be guys! Just finished cleaning the inside all thats left to do is vacuum then the inside is done, I did leather treatment and everything. I will update soon with pics!! Thank you for all the well wishes!
