When installing a new head gasket, should i use gasket dressing, something else, or nothing at all?

Wipe surfaces with acetone and just use the gasket.

What are you using? OEM? Felpro?

You don't use anything. Brand doesn't matter. It's a metal gasket.

As I recall, the 1995-1997 2.0L Zetec used a composite type gasket. The 1998+ switched to a metal layer gasket. Either way, you shouldn't need any of that good as long as the existing surface is clean, flat, and scratch free.
