Well here are the pics of my new baby. Picked it up one week ago today. Its bone stock! I've already taken off the UIM and cleaned it, put in some plugs and wires. I've ordered the BAT kit for it and now i'm saving for some other fun stuff. Love the sweet duratec music!!!

I'm dying to put my ST200's on just to see what it looks like, but i'll probably never take em off!

Can you spray those (from a can) with color-matched paint and get decent results? In fact, what does the bumper look like with the chrome strip painted body color?

Ditto on the ST200's. A6 sidemarkers would look great too.

Then it would look like a 1996-97 Contour.

If you were being sarcastic though, I'm pissed. I actually searched for that.

Actually you newbie their are holes under the strip if I remember correctly. If he removed them it would then look like a 96-97. I don't think you can remove them without issue though. I don't think it will take well to paint either w/o a lot of work.

I agree about the ST200 rims, for that matter check out the FSVT rims that are availble, they're pretty cheap brand new through Diversfied Products of Plymouth Michigan. I paid $540.00 for a set of 5 spoke FSVT rims about 2 1/2 years ago and I'm sure they have more selection now, check them out BTW, the color and car looks to be in great shape!

Congrats on the new ride!

I used some paint reducer to clean up the chrome strip, it actually did a great job at restoring it to a high shine. Just lightly rub it lengthwise with the reducer. Try not to touch the surrounding [blue] paint. The strip is clear-coated - which is what you are cleaning up.

Be very carefull as the reducer will actually dissolve the paint coating if you aren't carefull. I just gave mine a couple quick wipes with the reducer and a clean rag. You don't want to remove the protective clear-coating. Good luck.

Nathan
