Yes I did search and have a few questions...
For those of you with the sho shop y....did you notice any gains with it. The one I am looking at is the y pipe w/o the cat.
Also I DO NOT have a res in place. Am I going to have to get one? I also have the "mystery mod" done to my car.
Thanks in advance

Searched how my looking under your bed? Their are eleven billionty posts. I'm sure a ton in the archives. Yes this pipe has been around for ages.

Post I made last week: When the SHO Shop y-pipe came out it was all the rage. Everyone loved them. I don't know where this other information is coming from. I had a catless SHO Shop Y on my SHO and I did lose power down low to make up for it on the top end. I really missed the low end and hated the sound so I sold it. I know this is isn't a Duratec but I would have sold the SHO Y if I didn't think it helped. Best SOTP power over any mod I've ever performed. These are just my findings. No way grinding out some metal on the stock Y is going to do what a nice mandrel bent Y is going to do.

I gained 9 hp on the dyno with my car. Why starjammer you are dumping $ into as ATX and such an old car is not to bright IMO. At your age I'm sure there are a million more important things so blow the $ on. Please don't pull a Hector.

It's my impression that the SHO Shop y pipe is substantially similar to the BAT y pipe now available. I did get mine with the high flow cat. Did not take it to a dyno to see for sure, but I'd guess it was a 5+ HP kick in the pants, maybe even more. Did not knock my socks off, but it was enough on an improvement to addict me into getting other mods subsequently.
